Terms of Use
Effective October 17, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of eidosresearch.com and its subdomains (the “Site”), operated by Eidos Research, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Eidos,” “we,” or “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information only
The Site describes our research and technology work for general information. Nothing on it is an offer to provide services, professional advice, or a guarantee of any result. Any engagement with Eidos is governed by a separate written agreement, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms.
Demonstrations
The evidence-and-belief experiment uses constructed observations and a simplified probability model to illustrate how evidence can change a judgment. Its assumptions are described alongside the experiment. The examples are not collected data, research findings, validation results, or a demonstration of an Eidos product, and you should not rely on them as such.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, design, and code, are owned by Eidos or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to the Site for your own non-commercial reference. You may not copy, republish, modify, or distribute its content without our written permission, except as the law allows. “Eidos Research” and our logo are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in a way that violates any applicable law;
- interfere with the Site's operation or security, or try to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems;
- send automated requests at a volume that burdens the Site; or
- misrepresent an affiliation with Eidos.
Third-party services and links
The Site relies on third-party services, such as hosting and font delivery, and may link to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or their content.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eidos disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eidos and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Eidos harmless from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
General
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Eidos about the Site.
